I’m donut ? is looking for a dedicated Pastry Cook to help us deliver the exceptional quality and creativity that defines our brand as we prepare to open our first U.S. location in Times Square this Fall. You’ll be a key player in introducing New Yorkers to the artisanal donut experience that has redefined this classic treat in Japan. Under the direction of Chef Ryouta Hirako, I’m donut ? is known for its signature "nama" donuts—light, fresh, and delicately balanced creations, made from our unique brioche-style dough and finished with inventive glazes, fillings, or toppings. Our Times Square menu will feature both our classic offerings and locally inspired flavors, ensuring every guest experiences something truly special. As a Pastry Cook at I’m donut ?, you’ll join a passionate and dynamic team, focused on upholding our high standards of food quality and service. What You'll Do: Food Preparation & Execution: Follow recipes and preparation methods to ensure consistency in all pastry items. Execute menu items from start to finish, from dough preparation to finished product. Collaborate with the Executive and Pastry Chefs on new menu items, including specials and seasonal offerings. Team Support & Cleanliness: Set up and maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring supplies are stocked for each shift. Assist with training and mentoring junior staff, promoting a positive and productive kitchen environment. Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines, ensuring compliance with health regulations. Quality Control: Maintain quality standards in food preparation, from raw ingredients to the final product. Conduct regular inspections of inventory, ensuring freshness and minimizing waste. Verify deliveries and ensure proper food storage and rotation. Guest Experience: Maintain a high level of cleanliness and presentation to ensure customer satisfaction. Assist with guest-facing tasks as needed, helping to ensure a smooth service experience. You Have: 1+ years of experience in pastry or line cooking, preferably in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high food quality standards. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
